At BarkHaven, we seek to craft a sanctuary where dogs can frolic and owners can unwind. Our vision is a community hub that feels like a second home, where the love for our furry friends is the glue that binds our guests together.  To ensure that both our two and four legged guests have a good time, we will offer an off-leash dog park, full liquor bar, sports on TV, live music in the beer garden, a coffee bar, food truck, and groomer.  As we prepare for our grand opening, we are seeking a General Manager to oversee the bar, coffee, and membership teams. This individual should share our passion for pets and people and wish to create an all-inclusive, fun, and safe environment for our guests and employees alike. Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a pivotal role in the pre-opening phase, including staff recruitment, supplier negotiations, and setting operational procedures.
  • Establish and manage the daily operations of the bar, coffee, and dog membership services, ensuring a smooth and successful launch.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a team to deliver outstanding customer service while embodying our core values of balance, health, and professionalism.
  • Implement effective inventory and financial management strategies from day one.
  • Collaborate closely with the owner group and third-party partners to align on strategic goals and operational standards.
  • Spearhead membership sales strategies and oversee the check-in process, ensuring a memorable experience for our members and their dogs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture, paving the way for a successful and thriving business environment.


  • Proven track record in hospitality or bar management, with direct experience in opening or significantly contributing to a new business launch highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and resilience, with a knack for navigating the unique challenges of a start-up environment.
  • Deep understanding of inventory management, financial reporting, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Barista experience a plus.
  • A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to creating a welcoming, pet-friendly atmosphere.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position and will require flexibility, particularly in the lead-up to and following our opening. Availability during weekends, evenings, and some holidays will be essential to meet our high traffic periods, however we do recognize the importance of work-life balance and there will be significant support from the owner group to help find that balance.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and will include paid time off.
